Preparing the project…
1. You will have to choose one of the systems of our body and also explain an
illness associated with this system. For example, if you choose nervous
system, you can talk about drugs and how do they affect our mind.
2. Write a text in which you explain the system you have chosen and the
illness. In relation to the disease you will have to talk about: causes of the
disease; symptom; treatment and prevention of it.
VERY IMPORTANT!!! Try to make your speech using your own words and
the words that we have learned in class. It’s better if you start by
understanding the system that you are going to explain. If you don’t use
your words or you don’t understand anything, it will be very difficult for
you to explain your project.
3. Make a power point with images that you can use to support your speech. If
you find it necessary, you can also use video, songs…
VERY IMPORTANT!!! Avoid writing a lot of text in each slide.
4. If you have any question you can ask me, about the contents or the
operation of power point or about pronunciation as well.
5. Try to learn how to pronounce the words that you don´t know how to
pronounce and revise the grammar of the text (remember, if you have any
question you can ask to your English teacher)
6. Memorize your text but understanding it and practice your speech until you
do it perfect.
If you want, you can practice with my in the break and I can give you a
piece of advice to do it perfect!!!
