Tobacco causes in Spain about 40000 deaths every year.
2. Where is it forbidden to smoke in our society?
Law protects non smokers. It’s forbidden to smoke in schools, hospitals or in any kind of enclosed
public places.
3. What are the consequences for your body of smoking?
It brings about plenty of illnesses such as lung or mouth cancer, cough or heart attacks.
4. What is cannabis?
It is the plant. Its by-products are the hashish and the marijuana.
5. What are the consequences for your body of taking drugs?
 Problems in the capacity of concentration and with our memory.
 It reduces the coordination.
 Change the sexual maturing hormones.
6. What is obesity?
Obesity or overweight are defined as a great accumulation of fats that can be damaging for your
health.
7. How many people will have obesity in the World in 2015?
The WHO estimates that, by 2015 there will be 2300 million adults with overweight and more
than 700 with obesity.
8. What factors cause obesity?
 A worldwide change in the diet eating food with a great quantity of calories (fats and
sugars) but few vitamins and minerals.
 We tend to reduce our physical activity due to sedentary nature of many jobs or to
several changes in transport.
9. What are the consequences of obesity?
Overweight have serious consequences for your health:
 Cardiovascular illnesses.
 Diabetes.
 Osteoarthritis
 Cancer
10. What do you think about the unhealthy habits?
We can speak about three unhealthy habits first: Tobacco, alcohol and drugs, the first two are
accepted by our society and they are very popular in families parties and holiday eves, and our
youth are taking both habits like a step toward adult life, maybe this habit is between 14 and 25
years old, but the real problem will be when adult people do not know how to control this
consume.
If we accept cigarette and alcohol like normal habits and not like drugs, at the end we will have a
serious problem with our adults, but the real problem is that our government earn money with
this drug by taxes.
Drugs are not allowed in our society, but hashish and marihuana are the first step to take cocaine
and heroin, overall in parties and in the nightlife, but if someone has this habits, they ruin our life
in a few years.
Overweight is a problem in the rich countries, because we eat more than we need and we don´t
practice enough physical activity, in the other way, obesity is a genetic problem and doctors and
hospital have to care these patients.
