♥ The daughter of Volsung.
♥ The sister of Sigmund.
♥ Married to the villainous
King Siggeir.
3. Sigmund
♥Signey’s treacherous husband slew
Signy’s father, Volsung by treachery and
captured his sons (including Sigmund).
♥ They took a vow to avenge their father and
brothers.
♥When Sigmund was about to be fed to the
wolves, Signy decided a plan to free him.
4. SINFIOTLI
♥ Signy wanted someone of their kin to
help Sigmund. Thus, under disguise,
she spent three nights with him. Later
she had his son, Sinfiotli. Sigmund
never knew it was Signy whom he had
slept with.
5. ♥ Signy sent Sinfiotli to Sigmund and he
grew with him until his manhood.
♥When the day of revenge finally came
Sigmund and Sinfiotli surprised the
household.
♥They killed all of Signy’s children, shut
her husband inside the house and set it on
fire.
♥ When all was done Signy entered the
burning house and died there, which she
had planned to do.
6. SIGURD
♥The story of Sigurd begins with a Valkyrie
named Brynhild. Valkyries were to obey
their father Odin, the supreme god of the
Nordic pantheon.
♥ When Brynhild had disobeyed her father
he punished her by putting her to sleep until
a man shall wake her. He then surrounded
her couch with flaming fire which only a
hero would brave.
7. ♥ Sigurd was the son of Sigmund and the brave man who reached Brynhild.
When he reached her, she gave herself to him joyfully. Some days later he
had to leave the fire-ringed place, but promised to return for her.
GUNNAR
♥ Sigurd goes to Gunnar’s home. Gunnar
is the king on which Sigurd swears
brotherhood with.
♥Sigurd ends up staying three nights
with Brynhild, but he places his sword
between them in the bed. He takes ger to
Gunnar. She marries him believing
Sigurd was faithless to her. Later, she
learns the truth and plans her revenge.
8. ♥She tells Gunnar that Sigurd broke his oath to him, that he
really possessed her those three nights and unless he killed
Sigurd then she was going to leave him.
♥ Because of his ought to brotherhood he has sworn. Gunnar can
not kill Sigurd. Instead he has his little brother do the deed.
Godrun wakes to find her husband’s blood flowing over her.
