● Gynecomastia is the enlargement of the male breast. Drug-induced
gynecomastia is common (1 to 2.5 %), especially with antipsychotics.
● Antipsychotics act by blocking the dopamine receptor D2. There are four
major dopaminergic pathways, which are mesolimbic, mesocortical,
nigrostriatal, and tuberoinfundibular.
● In this presentation we discussed about the mechanism of its
development, monitoring, and treatment of Gynecomastia.
