6. Use the same font thoroughly
Too many fonts may cause
loss of consistency.
Be careful when copy & paste something.
Particularly mixture of
half-size fonts
is inappropriate.
7. Do not use small fonts
• Do not use small fonts to put many things in
one slide. The number of text lines within a
slide should be around seven; it should not
exceed ten. Otherwise your audience may
not read what is written in your slide and will
stop seeing the slide.
• Also just reading out the text in the slide may
be boring for the audience. Written text is just
for reading, and speaking is for listening.
Consider separately these two. Text in a slide
should be friendly for eyes of the audience,
and your voice should be properly delivered
to their ears.
Better to move to another slide
8. Do not leave a large space
• Do not leave a large space within a
slide. If there is room, you should
enlarge figures and/or text.
• However, elements within a slide need
to be reasonably apart (should not be
overlapped or too close).
