2. Target audience
• Our thriller is aimed at various different
groups of people, the first group would range
between 15-21 years old for ravers, gamers
and design and crafty young adults.
• And our secondary group is targeted between
30-37 using various different techniques.
3. How we attracted the ravers
• After doing the research we realised that ravers like loud music and
thrilling sequences. They like the fast and up beat movements which is
why it would suit our thriller, we had added various movements which is
aimed to spook or entertain the ravers such as when the actor sits up
suddenly in the tent, this is aimed to make the audience jump. For the
loud noises we used the bell, this is an alarm for the trap, we made the
volume for the bell a lot louder than the background noises to make it
more alarming. To create thrilling parts, for example like the end shot
where he reaches out to turn the door to see what is outside and it starts
turning already. These parts create thrills and are out to scare the
audience.
4. How we attracted the gamers
• To attract the gamers for our thriller we used a lot of different
technology and special effects (CGI), although we didn’t use
any CGI in our opening sequence we would have used a lot of
it later on in the film. We used techniques like focus pulls as
you can see in the picture bellow, this makes the shots more
interesting rather than them being general shots, changing
them up with a focus pull attracts the gamers.
5. How we attracted crafty young adults
• From researching into who would be suited as
a target audience we realised that crafty
young adults would be interested in to it as
they like clever artistic shots which leaves
them thinking and working it out.
6. • In conclusion we realised that these three
groups of people all have things in common
which is why they would all be interested in
my thriller.
