3. At times certain features are removed from cPanel & WHM in order to ensure the best user
experience. Usually, advance notice is provided of such deprecations or removals.
cPanel & WHM refers to a tools’ suite that is meant for Linux operating system for automating web
hosting tasks by using a simple GUI (Graphical User Interface). Web hosting is the service that ensures
uninterrupted website accessibility. It can be of many types such as shared, VPS, dedicated, reseller,
cloud, WordPress etc. The “Best Web Hosting Company”, the “Best Cloud Hosting Company”, the

4. The below-mentioned terminology is used to describe features that are supposed to be removed from
cPanel & WHM.
Deprecated- Such features are no longer recommended and are planned to be removed from cPanel
& WHM. Since active development has stopped on these features, future bug fixes are usually not
provided. The user needs to update the customizations on his server, which use or depend on such
features.This needs to be done as soon as possible.
Removed- Such features have been removed from the codebase of cPanel & WHM. Hence, the bugs
related to these won’t be fixed. Usually, such features are rendered unusable. Those customizations on
a server that keep on using or depending on such features will encounter issues.
Let us mention in the following slides those features that have been deprecated or removed from the
recent cPanel & WHM versions.

5. Removed- Deprecated in cPanel & WHM version 11.52. Removed in cPanel & WHM version 80. The
recommended action for it is to update your local MySQL servers as well as your remote MySQL servers
for the use of one of the following:

action for it is to use Horde or Roundcube for Webmail. By default, SquirrelMail is not included in new

installations with regard to cPanel & WHM version 72 and the later versions, the Allow deprecated
WHM accesshash authentication setting in the Security section of the Tweak Settings interface of
WHM has been disabled.This has been done to prevent new use.

action involves using the RPM-based WordPress installation package of cPAddons.Those servers that
run cPanel & WHM version 64 or the versions that are newer than it, install this package automatically.
It needs to be mentioned that the RPM-based WordPress cPAddon is displayed as WordPress by the
Install cPAddons Site Software interface of WHM.
