2. ‘Mourinho’
‘Mourinho’ is an ITV based documentary. Taking a look at the last 10
years of his football managerial career. It shows the highs and lows
of what he has done.
The documentary description is as follows: ‘A look at the career of
one of football's most charismatic figures. In the last ten years his
managerial record has been incomparable with a little controversy
along the way.’
This documentary will only have a limited audience as people who
are interested in Jose Mourinho or football will want to watch this
documentary.
3. Documentary Mode
Mourinho is a reflexive and expository documentary. It shows
interviews or Jose Mourinho asking him questions about
being a manager and asking him about what he’s done as a
manager for the last 10 years. He answers questions that
people will want the answers to therefore engaging with the
audience.
There is plenty of shits used in the documentary. Such as
interviews using close-ups and over the shoulder shots. It will
have real life action shots of him as a manager during games.
All these shot help support the documentary giving it some
variety.
4. Documentaries
ITV’s documentaries are tend to be about current events
and affairs. They chose to make their documentaries about
things that have just happened or things that are popular.
For example a documentary was made called ‘The other
side of Jimmy Saville’ this documentary shows people
about a popular topic. ITV know people will want to watch
it as it is a topic which is very publicized at the time.
My documentary is also about current affairs, whether
universities are worth the money. This can relate to the
documentaries that ITV produce.
