1) Vocational Guidance Program and Career Counseling – Your association organized a Vocational guidance
program in August’2007 in the school Hall. Ms. Shailaja Mulay, a professional Vocational Guidance and an expert
councilor, conducted this program. The program was a huge success judging by the attendance of parents and
students of Std Xth. 127 students attended the program. The speaker gave details on the choices available for
students after finishing school. Basic faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, post graduation courses and career
prospects were covered. Subsequently a written Aptitude test was arranged for the student in the school. A final
counseling with each student and their parents was conducted.
2) Inter School Dance Competition (Nachle Nachle) – Your association organized Inter-School Dance
Competition on 1st September 2007 with two themes ‘Patriotic’ and ‘Comedy’. Teams from 12 schools from the
Andheri & Vile Parle participated in the competition. The Rolling Shield was won by Our Lady of Health, Sahar
and individual prizes were won by students from other neighboring schools. This time your association was able
to procure sponsorship for the event from Rotary Club, Andheri Mumbai. This sponsorship was possible with
inspired efforts of our President, Pawan Pruthi.
3) Adopt a child and Nutrition program – The nutrition program now provides breakfast to 25 students. The
program is running successfully for the last few years. In the year 2007 year the program offered breakfast to
students from January to April & from August to December.

following magazines for the secondary school library that was continued in 2007.

5) Retirement of School Staff - Mrs. Ophelia Cabral retired in the year 2007. Pawan Pruthi and Viki Lingeria had
attended the farewell ceremony as the President and Secretary of the Association. A token amount via cheque
was presented to the retiring teacher as a souvenir for their service towards the school and their students.
2. 6) Holy Family Ex-Students Website – In December 2006 the association tied up with an application service
provider to launch its very own website – www.holyfamilyexstudents.org . A basic website is up and running.
Pages with announcements of events have been added. Grateful thanks to Akshay Farro who has lent a helping
hand for its functioning.
7) Database of 2007 batch – The association collected the database of the 10th standard students passing out in
year 2007. The data contains addresses and photographs of the 10th standard students and photographs of
teachers. To save on costs, it was decided that this will be hosted on the website and hence CD distribution was
done away with.
8) JAAI National Congress – was held in Trivandrum in November 2007, however no member from our association
could travel to attend the same due to time and other commitment constraints.
