7. STARTING A BUSINESS
I will be getting a Business Degree. I have taken classes that
discuss about being in management and also, the buying part of the
business.
Since, I will be going to market and placing orders for particular
clothes the classes I have taken I will be able to use the same program
we used in making the 6-month buying plan!
What I learn will actually be something I use in my career.
8. CREATING WEBSITE
I will be using Wix.com to create my website for my company.
I have taken classes that show you how to actually create a website
from using code and it just appears.
With this computer background I can go either route: write the
code or just go online and make my website!
9. GETTING ADVICE
I talk with my professors in both the fashion department and
computer science department about connections and how to go about
doing specific things whenever it comes to me opening my online
boutique.
Having a background in both computer science and fashion
merchandising is going to be very helpful because they are both
changing constantly and evolving!

11. IF ALL ELSE FAILS
I can always get a job as being a
computer programmer! I know how
to read code, and write different
programs. I already have a degree in
Computer Science, so I can use that
as well. I might even do some side
work reprogramming computers.
12. We talk about checklists in the
Fashion Department a lot.
SETTING GOALS
Basically, explaining the steps that
need to be taken to accomplish a
certain goal before you can move on
to the next. I have learned about in
the Fashion Department that I was
unaware of before.
13. GETTING THE
BUSINESS GOING
FM 222 this class will be how I will
start the website and see how I want
it to run.
Retail Math will help because I
learned how to plan and actually buy
stuff.
Visual Basic taught me how to pick
and choose what I want to put on my
site.
14. TAKE A RISK
I hear all the time that the fashion industry is one wicked business
to get involved in. I love take a chance and making something happen!
I know my business HIIR will be successful because I am passionate
about what I want to do! I am taking the necessary steps that need to
be taken to make it a success! Now, if it does not be successful it will
be because of me not making it work!
