Using the Migration Wizard you can automatically
migrate:
› Tickets along with Attachments
› Public Replies
› Contacts and Agents
› Organizations
› Custom fields
› Tags

But you cannot migrate:
› Zendesk settings
› Macros, reports, automation rules
› Knowledge base articles (our tool does not migrate articles to
Confluence)
› Private notes (they migrate as public, therefore we skip them)

Make sure you have Admin privileges on both accounts.
All must agents exist in Jira Service Desk
Agent emails in Zendesk and Jira Service Desk must match
Agents must have access to the target project in Jira Service Desk
Custom fields must be created in target project of Jira Service Desk
To migrate contacts to Jira Service Desk you must have the Public
Signup setting enabled.
To enable the migration make sure the project you’re importing to is
Classic, not Next-gen

Connect your
Zendesk account
To export data from Zendesk
you need to provide the URL of
your instance and input into the
Migration Wizard.

Click Continue and you will be
taken to Zendesk sign-in page.
Log in using your credentials
and proceed to the next step.

Connect your Jira Service
Desk account
Next you need to specify where
to import the tickets. Provide the
URL, Email (Username) and the
API token.
Next you need to provide a
Project Key and Issue type
name.
Then click Continue.

Choose the information
you need to migrate
Check the boxes to select the
data you want to export. Click
Map Fields to match up ticket
fields between Zendesk and Jira
Service Desk.

Once you’re done matching the
fields, click Save mapping to
save your settings.
Click Continue to start the trial
migration.

Test the migration
Once you’ve mapped tickets fields, start your
Free Demo Migration. The Migration Wizard
will export 20 tickets as a JSON file for you to
import to Jira Serviсe Desk. Check the quality
of the export and see if there are any issues
with the data.
Follow the instruction to upload the JSON file
to Jira Service Desk.

WHEN YOU’RE READY
If you’re ready to export all data from
Zendesk, then proceed to the payment.
Once the payment is complete, you can
start the Full Migration*.
*You need to manually initiate the migration in your
Help Desk Migration account.
