Our task is to create a short video (approximately 2minutes) applying 
all different types of editing shots we have learnt. The video should 
aim to display both our filming and editing skills.
• 180 degree rule 
• Match on action 
• Shot reverse shot 
• Conversation 
• Walking into a room and sitting down 
• Parallel editing 
• Graphic match 
• Consideration of framing – range of a different shot types 
• Range of angles 
• Consideration of lighting 
• Tracking/panning movement 
• Consideration mise en scene – costumes, gestures expressions, setting etc. 
• Enigma codes and action codes
• Who are the characters name, age, personality? 
Characters: Aida and Lexy. Age: both 16 Personality: Aida is confident 
enthusiastic who likes to talk. Lexy is not as enthusiastic as Aida but doesn’t 
give much away. 
• Why are they meeting? 
They are friends who have not seen each other for a while and theyre 
meeting to catch up. 
• Where are they meeting? 
At a youth centre. 
• What will they talk about? 
How there day has been and how Aida lost her job. 
Costume: Casual clothing.
• Girl 1: what did you do today? 
• Girl 2: do you want the good news or the bad news? 
• Girl 1: bad news 
• Girl 2: basically I lost my job, but the good news is I've been offered a job at Selfridges. 
• Girl 1: why did you lose your job? 
• Girl 2: because the customers did not like the treatment I gave them and they like to bitch a 
lot. Anyway what did you do today? 
• Girl 1: nothing I went to college, anyway heres my number well have to meet up soon 
• Girl 2: ok nice to meet you 
• Girl 1: you too bye 
• Girl 2: bye
