Hatchlings 2011 is an entrepreneurship competition for management students that aims to promote new business ideas. There are two tracks: Commercial Ventures and Social Ventures. The competition involves three rounds to select the best hatchling from each track, as chosen by a panel of judges. The winners will receive Rs. 1 lakh and mentoring support to help launch their business ideas. The goal is to encourage students to contribute innovative solutions to the economy and society.

Students will have 4 minutes to present their Idea. From
each Management Institute, the Best ventures will qualify
for the next round. The dates for this round will be given
separately to each Institute.

Top 16 ventures will be selected for this round, 8 from
Commercial Ventures Social Ventures each track. Each Venture will have 16 minutes to present
(Social Ventures will have 2 extra minutes to present the
Impact Measurement.) Each presentation will be followed
by a 5 Minute Q&A by the Jury.
Best Venture from each track will be chosen by a panel of
eminent Jury and will be awarded – Rs. 1 Lac each along
HATCHLINGS 2011 involves 3 rounds to select the Best with mentoring support for the first 3 months.
HATCHLINGS, one from each of the tracks, which will be
selected by an eminent panel of jury members from the Venues
Venture Capital industry. Round 1: Respective Institutes

The Best HATCHLING from each of the tracks will be
awarded Rs. 1 Lac to help them get their ideas off the
ground. Mentoring support to each the winning ventures
will be given by DeConseil.
