them than This is England or Tyrannosaur, and
many representations of the working class are
crude and 2 dimensional, but as they are
produced by Working Title, a subsidiary of NBC
Universal, and as the themes are not particularly
dark or challenging (comedies) they have lower
age ratings
3. Dark Knight
For some wider context ,the Dark Knight is an example of a Big Six production
(Warner Bros.) which had swearing and violence throughout, and had dark,
nihilistic themes. The BBFC claims they initially considered a 15 rating, but feared
complaints of people wanting to be able to see it, and stand by their 12A rating,
which received severe backlash (complaints from the public and several MPs
