This document outlines a mentor/mentee agreement between two individuals beginning in [today] and ending in April 2010. It details the communication expectations, which include meeting once a month in person and conducting quick check-ins by email or phone between meetings. Goals for both the student and mentor are listed in several categories, along with action steps and methods for assessing progress and providing feedback. Guidelines around professional conduct, confidentiality, and monthly check-ins with the Pathways program are also established.

2. Communication and Logistics
In order to develop a partnership of some depth, we suggest that you meet once a month in
person, and conduct a quick email or phone check-ins between meetings.

Professional Conduct
Professional conduct is central to this voluntary mentor program. Students and alumni
participating in the program, whether on-campus or off, remain subject to college rules and

Confidentiality
Confidentiality and trust are key elements to a mentoring program. All communication between
you and your student should remain confidential unless otherwise agreed upon.
This mentoring agreement sets forth the guidelines and goals of the program. Students and
mentors agree to make a good faith effort to engage and contribute to the mentorship in order to
maximize the experience.
We have reviewed the manuals and understand this program’s policies and expectations.
