2. History Ski has existec since 2500 a.C..This sport has appeared in Norway. In Spain has been popular since 1910 and it started in our country in Asturias. We have in this country 25 ski resorts.

4. Competitions The idea of ski racing is to down a track through some sticks called doors which mark the circuit. The skiers must to down the track in the shortest possible time without skipping any door or falling over. There are three different contests: Slalom Giant slalom Descent The most important championship are the Olympic Games. Ski’s been a winter Olympic sport since 1924.
5. Blanca Fernandez Ochoa One of the most important skiers in Spain is Blanca Fernandez Ochoa. She’s the first spanish women who won a medal (bronze medal) in the Olympic Games. She also won a lot of prizes in the ski World Cup.
