An 80-year-old woman presented with speech problems (aphasia), weakness on her entire right side (dense right hemiparesis), and blindness in the right side of her vision (right hemianopia). A CT scan was performed within 3 hours of the onset of her symptoms. The CT scan showed evidence of a stroke in the left side of her brain.
