Johnny’s past is coming back to haunt him as he finds himself in the nightmare that is his life, he has been in hiding for many years and now the key has finally caught up, you don’t know who they are, you don’t know what they look like, they are everywhere but nowhere, can he escape them or will his life be forfeit to the key?
6. Outline of title sequence. Dark room, Johnny interrogation-film at castle field Johnny walking along Reigate high street- filmed from vantage point. Flashbacks. Still walking, oblivious to the fact he is being watched. Recognizes someone from the flashback and starts running Chase sequence Title rolls in.
7. What has influenced us and why? Opening sequences that have influenced us are films like inception because our film is similar. It uses confusion and tension to keep the audience immersed throughout. This is a good technique for a thriller as it makes the film interesting throughout rather than just at flash points of action like you would get in the average thriller film. We have also been influenced by a film called T.A.C.T.I.C.A.L because the use of memory loss and the slow recollection is a good way to establish the story to the audience without telling the whole thing. We will be using it to explain why Johnny is on the run.
