The people in the photograph are a young boy, Hitler and a few older women sitting in the background. The boy 
and Hitler are the main focal point of the photograph. Hitler’s face is very recognizable and that’s how we know 
it is him.

The situation is Hitler going around and shaking peoples hands, including the boys who seems very interested in 
him. The women look on in approval. This was probably comforting but to Americans it would seem 
frightening.

The photographer was trying to convey that Hitler even wanted young people on his side to support his cause 
and the shaking of the boys hand shows that he has gotten just that. Hitler bribe little kids to be on his side by 
being friendly and kind to hide the negatives of Hitler’s ruling.

It is important to history because the Holocaust was such a huge event in history and saving documents like 
these help prove to those who do not believe that the Holocaust is real and not a conspiracy.

1-Hitler was trying to get anyone and everyone to follow him. 
2-There were people supporting him 
3-Shaking the hand of a child makes him look like a nice guy so he probably wanted this picture taken on 
purpose.

I believe that it is the time of WW1 and the commander is checking the soldiers for illnesses. I’m lead to 
believe this because there are multiple men standing in the room and the one is standing in from of the 
commander and he is observing him.

3 things you might infer from the photograph- it was around the time of the war. There was some kind of 
illness going around. It was early 1900’s because of the black and white.

friendship between nations and freedom from oppression. Now, what looks likes a person hung from the Statue 
of Liberty seems as if would stand for that person had did something wrong.

because of segregation issues and the unfairness with discrimination that some people were treated so badly that 
some committed suicide.

about ready to begin the hard task of life in the U.S. The evidence that is presented to backup this fact is

they are today and that without them this country could be a completely different place.
