Greg Pogonowski has been a financial adviser since 1984. He founded his own independent financial advisory company in 1989 and has held leadership roles in industry organizations. Greg has been in the Financial Services Profession since 1984, initially with Imperial
Life (now part of the Lincoln Financial Group) as a Life Underwriter. He then joined
an established Independent Financial Adviser Company in 1989 as a Director and
bought his business partners out shortly thereafter, replacing them with a new team.
In 1991 Greg completed (by examination through the Chartered Insurance Institute)
the equivalent of what is now the Financial Planning Certificate, and then went on to
complete the Advanced version in 1992. He was actively involved in the Life
Insurance Association in his region for many years rising to the role of Chairman of
the East Midlands Region in 1998, as well as being a regular Industry Speaker
throughout this time.
In 1992 Greg got involved with the prestigious ''Million Dollar Round Table''
(MDRT) which represents the top 5% of Professional Financial Advisers from over
70 countries worldwide, and qualified for this esteemed group in 1993. The next year
he qualified for ''Court of the Table'' which represents the top 1% of Advisers and has
done so every year since, culminating in continual membership of ''Top of the Table''
from 2006 onwards. He has been a volunteer for this Group in various capacities from
the outset including First Time Orientation for new members.
In 1996 Greg founded the ''Midlands MDRT Study Group'' in England for peers to
meet quarterly to exchange ideas in order to help all local MDRT members serve
Clients better. This led him to be asked to speak internationally which he has done so
in Europe for the MDRT, specializing in Poland (as he is multi-lingual).
In 2001, Greg merged his Company with one of his MDRT Colleagues' Company and
this new venture went on to become one of the most successful in the region
outperforming much larger similar Companies. Greg continues to be a Senior
Consultant to this organization but as his Clients became more and more international
(including celebrities) it was natural for him to begin to specialize in offshore
planning for ex-patriates, and he did this by being headhunted by Holborn Assets in
Dubai in 2005, relocating to the UAE.
After three years he was headhunted again to join JdV International (JVI) as they
needed someone to lead a team to provide Financial Services advice to their large
portfolio of General Insurance Clients. This concluded after six months so Greg went
back to doing what he does best – advising his own Clients and is currently working
with Pinnacle Asset & Wealth Management based in Dubai.
Greg specializes in providing Life Insurance, Critical Illness Benefit, Investment,
Medical Insurance, Mortgage and Pension advice to High Net Worth individuals
whilst at the same time catering for those who aspire to join this group through his
unique wealth creation programmes.
