Borders
Four times each year, Healing Hearts Across Borders
brings a volunteer team to Tijuana to provide free
health care and much-needed medicine for the
underprivileged. The organization depends on
knowledgeable and generous individuals to keep this
mission alive. Healing Hearts Across Borders
welcomes volunteer applications from health care
professionals and medical students, as well as
individuals interested in helping with administration
or translating.
4. Conclusion
Healing Hearts Across Borders requires that all
volunteers cover their own expenses during the trip.
Lodging typically costs between $15 and $60 per night,
depending on how many roommates each volunteer
accepts. The organization does provide lunch on-site;
other meals are at the volunteer's discretion.
Transportation is by donation of approximately $50.
The organization also welcomes monetary donations
and gifts of personal care items or vitamin
supplements for those who wish to contribute but
cannot commit to a volunteer trip.
