Liquid lignosulfonate is a black liquid with a minimum of 45% solid content that exists in two grades based on pH. It can be used as a plasticizer in concrete to reduce water content, as an additive in cement grinding and in lead battery production. It also has applications as a filler, binder, dispersant, and viscosity reducer in ceramics, resins, pesticides, drilling mud, and more. The main products are liquid potassium, sodium, and calcium lignosulfonate varieties that vary slightly in specifications like pH and insoluble matter content.
