This document discusses several theories of delinquent behavior including strain theory, social disorganization theory, drift theory, differential association theory, labeling theory, social control theory, positivism and rational choice theory, systems theory and other biosocial theories, and cognitive theories of desistance. The reader is asked to choose at least 3 of these theories and explain the history, how it applies to juveniles, and behaviors considered normal per age, culture or social status according to each theory.
