Actuator Motor (Air Distributor) - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure
Start By:
a. Remove the storage box in the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Storage Box and
Covers (Cab) - Remove and Install".

1. Disconnect harness assembly (1) from the actuator motor.

2. Remove screw (2) in order to disconnect linkage (3).
3. Remove screws (4) from the actuator motor.
4. Remove actuator motor (5).
5. Remove linkage (6) from the actuator motor.

2. Remove screw (4). Remove the cable strap for the harness assembly.

3. Remove cam (3) from the actuator motor.

Installation Procedure
Installation Procedure of the Actuator Motor for the Air Damper for the
Temperature Control

1. Install linkage (6) on the actuator motor.
2. Install actuator motor (5) on the heating and air conditioning unit.
3. Install screws (4) in the actuator motor.
Note: Make sure that the linkage is properly aligned in the air actuator.
4. Connect linkage (3). Install screw (2).

5. Connect harness assembly (1) to the actuator motor.

Note: Make sure that linkage (3) is properly aligned with the air actuator.
2. Install actuator motor (5).
4. Install a new cable strap for the harness assembly. Install screw (4).

4. Connect the linkage to the air actuator.
5. Install screw (2) in the linkage.

Note: Make sure that the linkages for the air dampers are installed in the cam.
3. Install cam (3) on the actuator motor.

Temperature Sensor (Ambient Air) - Remove and Install
SMCS - 1928-010
Removal Procedure
1. Remove bolts (2) in order to remove plate (1). The weight of plate (1) is approximately
13 kg (29 lb).

2. Disconnect harness assembly (3) from the ambient air temperature sensor.
3. Cut cable strap (4).
4. Remove ambient air temperature sensor (5).

2. Install cable strap (4).
3. Connect harness assembly (3) to the ambient air temperature sensor.
4. Position plate (1) on the upper frame. The weight of plate (1) is approximately 13 kg
