1. The rule of thirds is used and applied by aligning a subject with
guidelines and intersectionpoints. It is a guideline, which applies
to the process of composing visual images, from this, the image
should be dived into 9 equal parts, and then important
compositional elements should be placed along these lines/
intersections.
The rule of thirds can apply to ‘print media’ as for things such
as posters and CD covers, they need to have the correct
spacingand have the correct attributes withinthe proper
placing. This can link to the lines of sightwithinsuch as the
‘primary optical area’ and the ‘terminal area’, these areas link
to the positioningwithinthings, and thus also to print media.
