This document discusses ARI-based dialers and their use for political campaigns. It provides an overview of ARI and Asterisk APIs, and how the new Asterisk 12 version overhauled some components including Stasis, PJSIP, and the ARI API. Examples are given of open source libraries that interface with ARI. Political campaigns are identified as one way dialers powered by Asterisk and ARI can be used.
