This is a booklet which is published every few years by ABTA and FTO (abta.uk.com) and deals with the steps to follow regarding the health of tourists in their holiday destinations. It can be said that it is the guide used by almost all Tour Operators worldwide. We are able to provide a link for you to be able to download a copy if required (please request via GB).

It has been developed by the FTO in collaboration with different associations and federations of travel agencies and tour operators in Europe and North America

Unlike other eco-labels or certificates, Travel Life is designed exclusively for the tourist industry and is supported by the Tour Operators , who publish and promote on their websites and in their brochures hotels which are registered in the system. These hotels benefit from the commercial advantages whilst making savings due to effective sustainable management

What is a food allergy?
A food allergy is a reaction of the immune system associated with the ingestion, contact or inhalation of certain foods such as eggs, seafood, dried fruits,food containing gluten, etc.
Food allergies are a public health issue and a worry both for the consumer and for food based businesses.
Work plan?
Your staff will be trained in how to carry out their jobs effectively whilst preventing any culinary contamination via allergenic agents.
The menu will be studied in order to find the main allergens which exist in dishes offered/on the menu.
