This implies that a positive correlation is expected between lifestyle and participant
income (INC1). The hypothesis is expected to be supported since in most cases, an individual’s
lifestyle depends on the income they generate. This implies that ones’ desire for a luxurious
lifestyle increases as there income increase.

Conclusion
The results above confirms that the hypothesis that, people living a luxurious lifestyle
have high income, thereby giving evidence of the validity of the LIFESTYLE scale. This is so
since a positive correlation of .138 shows that the desire for a luxurious lifestyle increases as
one’s income increases thereby resulting in a convergent validity.
