5. Removal
► Before carrying out any removal operations, if the tractor is equipped with a suspended front axle, position
the front axle in the top position in manual mode. (7 Use → 7.3 Chassis).
► Fit 10-cm-high wooden chocks (1) between the end stops on the suspended front axle and the front chassis.
These operations make it easy to position the uncoupling trolleys afterwards.
► Disconnect the battery.
► Drain the engine as necessary.
► Drain the coolant circuit.
► Drain the air conditioning circuit.
► Drain the transmission.
► Decompress the front axle suspension circuit (if fitted).
Decompressing the front axle suspension circuit
► Drain the pneumatic braking circuit.
► Remove the engine bonnet.

► Remove the main tank.

► Remove the supports from the loader frame, if fitted.
► Remove the “SCR” and “CUC” catalytic converter unit with its support.

6. Exhaust filter (4 cylinders)
On a 6-cylinder engine:
► Undo and remove the bolts (1) and the nut (2).
► Remove the protective panel (3).
► Undo and remove the nuts (1) from either side of the engine.
► Detach the wiring harness (2) from the engine bonnet support (3).
► Remove the engine bonnet support (3).

7. ► Remove the side members (1) either side of the engine, if fitted.
If equipped with a suspended front axle:
► Fit a suitable lifting tool (1) under the front axle suspension arm (2).
If equipped with a suspended front axle:
► Undo and remove the bolts (1).
► Use the lifting tool to fully lower the suspension arm (2).

8. On a 6-cylinder engine:
► Undo and remove the bolts (1) from the universal drive shaft.
If the bolts are not accessible, release the handbrake and the automatic parking brake (if fitted), lift one front
wheel only then rotate it until the universal drive shaft is in a suitable position.
► Disconnect the universal drive shaft (2).
► Undo and remove the bolts (3) from the engine/transmission coupling.
On a 4-cylinder engine:
► Undo and remove the bolts (1) from the universal drive shaft.
If the bolts are not accessible, release the handbrake and the automatic parking brake (if fitted), lift one front
wheel only then rotate it until the universal drive shaft is in a suitable position.
► Disconnect the universal drive shaft (2).
► Undo and remove the bolts (3) and remove the jaw.
► Undo and remove the bolts (4) from the engine/transmission coupling.

9. If equipped with a suspended front axle:
► Use the lifting tool to fit the suspension arm (1) in place.
► Fit and fully tighten the two bolts (2).
If equipped with a front linkage:
► Undo and remove the bolts (1) and (2).
► Remove the closure panels (3).

10. ► Loosen the clamps (1) and (2) and disconnect the hoses.
► Disconnect the unions (1).
► Disconnect the air conditioning ducts (2).
► Loosen the clamps (1) and disconnect the hoses.
► Disconnect the unions (2).
► Loosen the clamps (1) and disconnect the hoses.

11. ► Loosen the clamps (1) and disconnect the hoses.
If equipped with a front linkage:
► Using a suitable lifting tool, hold the cooler assembly at the lifting points (1).
If equipped with a front linkage:
► Undo and remove the bolts (1).
► Remove the cooler assembly (1).

12. The cooler assembly weighs 95 kg.
If equipped with a front linkage:
► Disconnect the connectors (1).
► Detach and remove the wiring harness (2) up to the front of the cab.
On the right-hand side of the tractor:
► Disconnect and detach the wiring harnesses (1).
On the left-hand side of the tractor:

13. ► Disconnect the connector (1).
► Detach and remove the wiring harness up to the front of the cab.
On the right-hand side of the tractor:
► Disconnect the unions (1).
► Remove the hydraulic pipes (2).
► Undo and remove the bolts (3).
On the right-hand side of the tractor (depending on the equipment):
► Disconnect the unions (1).
► Undo and remove the bolts (2).

14. On the left-hand side of the tractor:
► Disconnect the unions (1) and (2).
On the left-hand side of the tractor (depending on the equipment):
► Disconnect the unions (1) and (2).
► Remove the flanges (3).
► Undo and remove the bolts (4).

15. On the left-hand side of the tractor (depending on the equipment):
► Disconnect the unions (1) and (2).
► Undo and remove the bolts (3).
Under the cab:
If equipped with a suspended front axle:
► Disconnect the connector (1).
► Detach and remove the wiring harness up to the front chassis.
Under the cab:
► Undo and remove the nut (1).
► Disconnect the air conditioning ducts (2).

16. Under the cab:
► Remove the clamps (1) and disconnect the heating hoses.
► Position the tractor as horizontally as possible.
► Position the uncoupling trolleys (1) under the tractor.

18. ► Undo and remove the coupling bolts (1).
► Uncouple the engine from the transmission.
► Disconnect and detach the wiring harness (1).
► Loosen and remove the fan (2).
Note the direction of loosening of the nut. This nut has a left-handed thread.
If equipped with a front power take-off:

19. ► Undo and remove the bolts (1).
► Disconnect the front power take-off shaft (2).
► Remove the exhaust filter support (1).
► Fit the lifting kit on the engine (1).
► Secure the engine using suitable lifting equipment.
If equipped with a suspended front axle:

20. ► Undo and remove the bolts (1).
► Loosen and remove the bolt (2).
► Remove the shaft (3).
If equipped with a suspended front axle:
► Lower the uncoupling trolley positioned under the suspension arm (1) of the front axle.
► Angle the bearing (2) as illustrated.
► Undo and remove the nuts (1).
