                                                            Single Farm

Hacienda Venecia is located in the heart of the coffee growing area
between the towns of Manizales and Chinchiná in the Department
of Caldas. With an average altitude of 1500 meter above sea level,
rich volcanic soils and 1900 millimeters of rain, Hacienda Venecia
meets the perfect conditions for growing Arabica coffee. With two
harvesting periods, 25 % fi rst semester and 75 % second semester,
it manages to supply fresh green coffee to the market.
Hacienda Venecia is run by a family that has being in the Colombia
coffee industry for four generations. In 2002, the family decided
to incorporate international quality standards by certifying the
farm through the UTZ CERTIFIED code of conduct and hence
becoming the fi rst UTZ CERTIFIED farm in Colombia.

“With the implementation of the UTZ CERTIFIED code www.utzcertified.org
of conduct things in the farm are done much more
concise improving the well being of the workers and
their families, and valuing the natural surroundings.
Because of full traceability of the coffee the
responsibility of the quality that reaches the end-
consumer becomes a responsibility of the people of
the farm motivating us to always do what is in our
hands to maintain the unique cup profi le
