This document discusses teaching Spanish or American culture as part of a language class. It recommends integrating web 2.0 materials, such as photos from a trip to Spain that show historical sites from the Roman era like aqueducts, arenas, and temples. The photos illustrate what remains of the aqueducts in Mérida, Spain, which were built to carry water long distances into cities and are now partially destroyed.

built huge arenas , aquaducts to carry water ,
theaters and coliseums ( mostly to entertain
themselves )

have built huge nests on top & this contributed to the partial destruction.

• Most of the arches that were part of the supports have been
destroyed by time, weather, the storks and other elements.
