13. heavy burden
• Ecclesiastes 1:13 I applied my mind to study and
to explore by wisdom all that is done under the
heavens. What a heavy burden God has laid on
mankind!

• Ecclesiastes 1:18 For with much wisdom comes much
sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.
• 1Cor. 3:18 “Let no one deceive himself. If anyone
among you seems to be wise in this age, let him
become a fool that he may become wise. ”
• 1Cor. 3:19 “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness
with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their
own craftiness";”
• Psalm 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of
wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good
understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.
16. Wisdom
• Ecclesiastes 1:18 For with much wisdom comes much
sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.
• 1Cor. 8:1 “Now concerning things offered to idols: We
know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up,
but love edifies. ”
• Ecclesiastes 2:26 To the person who pleases him, God
gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the
sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up
wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God.
This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
