• " Your mother": The city of Jerusalem, that is, the city of
Zion, also represents Israel and the southern kingdom of
Judah. God responded to Israel's accusation of forsaking
and forgetting them. There are two kinds of abandonment:
one is divorced, and the other is sold into slavery. God said,
neither divorced nor sold you into slavery. According to the
Law of Moses, a divorce certificate is required for divorcing
a divorced wife, that is, a "divorce certificate" (Deut. So
God asked, "Where is the bill of divorce?"
4. Isaiah 50:1
• To which creditor shall I sell you? ”: God again asked his
people who had accused him. In the ancient Near East,
people were sold to creditors to repay debts (Exodus
21:1-7), and the creditor must be identified as
evidence of the sale (2 Kings 4:1; Matt. 18:25).
• "For your iniquities you were sold; for your
transgressions your mother was divorced": God called
her to call her back (54:6; Jeremiah 3:1). It is

give Pharaoh one of the ten plagues of night, Yahweh
commanded Moses to stretch out his rod to the sky
and make the land of Egypt dark, and the darkness
seemed to be palpable (Exodus 10:21). "Covered with
