1. Students and Research Exchange Program between
School of Tourism Management
Beijing International Studies University, China(BISU) and
Faculty of Tourism Management
Universidad Veracruzana, Mexico (UV)
Based on the Academic, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation Agreement
between the two universities, Students and Research Exchange Program will
be carried out from year 2011-2015, details are as follows:
I. Scope of the program: This Program is open to the students of the third
year of the undergraduate students of Tourism Management, professors and
research professors in any of these two universities and it is signed between
School of Tourism Management of BISU and Faculty of Tourism Management
Veracruz UV
II. Program description:
a) Each year, both universities choose 7 students of the third year of Tourism
management career, to the opposite university for one academic year’s study
starting from every September in BISU and every August in UV. While the BISU
students will mainly learn Tourism administration and several Spanish courses
in the Faculty of Tourism Management Veracruz UV and several major courses,
and the UV students will mainly learn Tourism Management and several
courses in Chinese, in the School of Tourism Management BISU
b) Each year both parts choose one professor to the opposite university for one
academic year’s teaching, starting from every September in BISU and every
August in UV. While the BISU Professor will mainly teach Tourism management
in the Faculty of Tourism Management Veracruz UV, and the UV Professors will
mainly teach Tourism Management in the School of Tourism Management

c) Each year both Faculties choose research professors to write a paper
research related with tourism or Management, Every year two papers. And
every year in October one professor research of BISU go to Veracruz for 15
days to complete the research paper. While every year In April the professor of
UV go to Beijing for 15 days to complete the paper research
Behaviors: Strictly obey the rules and regulations of both universities. Observe
the laws, decrees and relevant regulations enacted by the host country and
shall not interfere in the internal affairs of the host country. Respect the culture
and people of the host country and willing to make self-adjustment to all the
differences between two countries.
2. A. Health: In good healthy condition, could get used to the new life in the host
country.
B. Language: English requirement for entry, but the BISU students are
expected to be ready to learn Spanish, and the UV students are expected to
be ready to learn Chinese.
IV. Curriculum: Tourism Administration + several major courses based on the
students’ credit requirements or interest. BISU students will have one semester
of course in English and spanish learning courses and the second semester in
Spanish. UV students will have one year in English and chineses learning
courses
V. Certificate: The host university will issue a certificate to each student upon
successfully accomplish the program, the courses have been taken will be
indicated.
VI. Tuition, Accommodations and Fees: The two parties mutual exemption of
tuition fees and accommodations. In BISU and UV, dormitory room will be
shared with other classmate. Each apartment has toilet, hot-water, internet
access and telephone line. There will be one professor as advisor as well as
one student friend to each student. They will help them overcome difficulties in
study and living. Other fees occurred by the students, including transportation,
accommodation and textbooks etc. will be borne by the students themselves.
VII. Students Management and service: The students of each side will be well
treated and have all the rights that the students in the hosting university have.
The visiting students will be assigned to, joined in, and supervised by the
departments they joined in the hosting university. There will be one professor as
advisor as well as one student friend to each student. They will help them
overcome difficulties in study and living. Other fees occurred by the students,
including transportation, accommodation and textbooks etc. will be borne by the
students themselves.
Any questions or problems occurred during the program will be settled by both
BISU and UV through friendly communication. Each time, when one party
would like to send exchange students to the counterparts, it will inform the other
party the intension and adjust the opinion. Each party, BISU or UV, may end
this agreement by informing the intention to the counterpart any time.
