private letter and contains of private information about
experience in the written form to be sent in a certain people”.
• Farid (2012:10) there are many types of personal letters, and
they are written for a wide variety of reason. And personal
letters also known as friendly letters. It consist of felling
expression, private things, and important things as a way to
communicate and allow a person to leave a message and to
keep in touch.
DEFINITION
Personal letters are informal letters written for individuals,
usually only two people who know each other are involved.
3. FUNCTION
Personal letters has function as written form communication,
documentation, historical, reminder, guidelines to take
decision, safety information, vice of organization, as a way to
easy the archival matters work and announcement.
Besides as a mean written communication, letter is useful as
representative of organization or individual. Letter is the
written note that cannot be changed fully by oral
communication. So, personal letter is used in personal
relationship.
5. 1. Heading
Heading is put the right or the left side of the paper. It is includes
the address and the date.
a. Address = This section is the place where you write the letter or
the address where the sender lives.
b. Date = This date indicates when the letter was written.
6. 2. Salutation & Name
This section writes the greeting and the recipient's
name.
For example "Dear ...", "Dearest ...", "Sweetheart",
"Darling", "My love" and others
7. 3. Body of letter
The body usually consists of at least three paragraph, they are:
a. Introduction (Opening) = The opening of a letter usually begins
with an opening like the response to a previous letter or it could be
an initial introduction if you are just starting out in
correspondence.
b. Body (contents of the letter) = This section is the content or essence
of the letter. In this section of the Body, you tell all the contents of
the letter that we want to tell.
8. 4. Closure (Closing)
This section indicates that the letter will end soon.
5. Complimentary close (closing greetings)
This section is a short closing phrase such as, "With love".
"Sincerely yours", "With love", and so on.
6. Signature
This section is under the complementary close, you can put a
signature or it could be just the initials of your name.

Dear Joseph,
As a number of you already know I have recently accepted a position with another company and will be leaving at the
end of this week. Please consider this to be my sincere goodbye to each and every one of you.
I want you all to know that I am truly leaving here with mixed feelings; happy about my new career opportunity, but sad
to be leaving such a great company where I have so many wonderful friends and colleagues. The last three years as a
member of the SysTek team was the best period of my career so far. I learned a great deal and worked with many
people with whom I am sure I will remain friends for a long time. I can only wish that my new job will give me such
rewarding experiences and supportive friends.
Thank you so much for making my time at SysTek a truly enjoyable one. I invite any of you who would like to keep in
