This document outlines 5 types of accidents that can occur during dental procedures: 1) Needle fracture caused by patient movement, improper technique, or manufacturing defects. The provider should remain calm and inform the patient. 2) Damage to surrounding tissues when the patient moves unexpectedly during injection. 3) Painful puncture due to poor anesthetic technique or contact with innervated tissues. 4) Positive aspiration detected via suction, indicating intravascular injection carrying risk of overdose. 5) Overdose evidenced by exceeding appropriate blood levels, ranging from mild effects to impacts on muscle tone and cardiorespiratory system. Complications from these accidents can be immediate or later, including blood, neurological, soft
