It defines ROIC as earnings from continuing operations before interest and taxes divided by average invested capital. For each year it provides the calculation of earnings from continuing operations before interest, taxes, amortization and invested capital. The ROIC for fiscal years 2003, 2002, 2001 and 2000 are then reported as 14.2%, 17.0%, 16.8% and 16.1% respectively.
