Start By:
a. Release the system pressure.
b. Install the steering frame lock.

1. Removing housing (5) and the O-ring seal. Remove the filter.
2. To remove the transmission oil filter base, complete the following steps.
3. Disconnect three hose assemblies (2). Disconnect harness assemblies (1) and (4).
4. Remove bolts (3) and the oil filter base.

5. Remove harness assembly (6).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the transmission oil filter in the reverse order of removal.
a. If the transmission oil filter base was removed. Tighten harness assembly (6) to a
torque of 15 ± 3 N·m (133 ± 27 lb in).
b. Tighten housing (5) to a minimum torque of 50 N·m (37 lb ft) to a maximum torque
of 100 N·m (74 lb ft). Tighten housing (5) with 1-1/2 inch socket or box end wrench.

Unequal wheel speed can result in driveline torque windup which can
cause driveline components to be under load during disassembly.

This will release the driveline torque windup in the drive train. Lower the machine and
remove Tooling (A).

4. Attach a suitable lifting device to main drive shaft (3). The weight of main drive shaft (3) is
approximately 65 kg (143 lb).
5. Remove four bolts (4) and (5).
6. Remove main drive shaft (3) from the machine.
Installation Procedure
1. Install main drive shaft (3) in the reverse order of removal.
a. Inspect the drive shaft and replace any parts as needed.
b. Install the slip shaft with the female end toward the transmission.
c. Position main drive shaft (3) and align the keyways. Tighten bolts (4) and (5) to a
torque of 135 ± 20 N·m (100 ± 15 lb ft).

approximately 32 kg (70 lb). Remove eight bolts (1). Use two people and remove front
drive shaft (2).
Installation Procedure
1. Install front drive shaft (2) in the reverse order of removal.
a. Inspect front drive shaft (2) for damage and replace any parts as needed.
b. Position front drive shaft (2) and align keyways. Tighten eight bolts (1) to a torque of
135 ± 20 N·m (100 ± 15 lb ft).
