2. I. Starbucks was opened in 1971 in Seattle, Washington
by Jerry Baldwin, Zev Siegel, and Gordon Bowker
II. Howard Schultz, an entrepreneur, joined them in
1982
III. Mr. Schultz influenced coffee bars in Italy and
established the chains of II Giornale Coffee shops
IV. A few years after, the first owners bought of the Peet’s
Coffee and Tea shop and Starbucks was transferred to
Mr. Schultz
V. Finally, Starbucks was founded by combining two
brands: II Giornale and Starbucks
