Principals are John S. Eberhardt, Jr., Managing Partner, Stephen J. Hauser, Partner, and
Daniel Gresham, Partner, who represent over 80 years experience in capital markets,

Acquisitions – Coutant is highly skilled at crafting multi-step corporate development
programs and delivers in-depth support for the client needing assistance on a specific
opportunity. Our multi-step clients are typically large firms with total revenues in excess
of $500M. Single target assignments can be with clients with base revenues of $20-$30M
Divestitures – We work predominantly with owners of privately held companies and with
large firms who have non-core business units. The firm conducts the sale process with
absolute discretion and works towards best-fit opportunities. Our clients in these
engagements are typically divesting firms/business units with revenues of $20-$75 M
and/or an enterprise value of at least $10 M
Management Buyouts – The firm is well-versed in advising management teams, can
articulate how management may be the best-fit option for a particular seller, and can
quickly assemble appropriate equity sponsorship. Typical client size and transaction
value is similar to that of Divestiture engagements.
