9. Passengers checking in for a dog or cat need to sign a waiver of their animal carriage liability.

(or regional) quarantine unit or higher.
International flights:
a. “Certificate of Quarantine” and “Certificate of Rabies Immunization” issued by the authority

c. Any additional documents required by the destination or transit country (please refer to TIM

Note: Some airports (like Hong Kong, China) only allow small living things to arrive or leave as

Small animals should be kept in a suitable and sturdy cage made of metal, hard plastic or wood.
Cages used must also meet the following requirements:
1. A special carrier must be used in order to check-in pets on the flight. Cages should be made
of sturdy materials, have a fixed end, and have ventilation on at least three sides. Doors must
be lockable and made of metal to prevent pets from escaping.

to which the animal is entering or transiting.
5. Cages used to transport animals should have an absorbent pad (such as a towel or blanket)
placed at the bottom of the cage to prevent urine and feces from spilling onto other baggage.
V. Requirements for baling livestock cages
1. When land animals such as cats and dogs check in, a protective net should be used to line
up and tighten the cage before placing the animal in.
2. When using a baling belt, the belt must tie the cage evenly in a net shape with gaps between
20 and 30cm.
3. To prevent the container from tipping over and agitating livestock, the cage must be secured
with longitudinal and transverse straps on the sides of the cage. For extra safety, these belts
must penetrate the cage door and guard net. The belt through the net should be even to
securely tighten the door, cage body and guard net.

VII. Registration procedure
1. Fees for small animals (Purchase of baggage tickets is effective from May 20, 2019):
Domestic flights: The weight of small animals, kennels and carry-on food will not be included in
the passenger's free baggage allowance and will be counted as excess baggage;
