Analysis of Theory
From the user's point of view, social media is far ahead of traditional media.
But traditional media still retains its position for its own popularity.
Considering the theory, it can be seen that traditional media is more credible
and acceptable. Traditional media is believed to be a credible bearer of
liberalism, constructivism and realism. On the other hand, there is absolutely
no confidence in the fact that many news is lying through the social media.
So, I want to say that, social media is not challenge on traditional media.
Chaptar-3
Teacher’s Statement: The area of social media is very big as people easily
can engage in this media. Social media cannot be included in traditional media, it also
called as new media. Now the news of traditional media is also sharing in social media.
People can easily engage with social media but it is not so easy with traditional media
because we can comment easily in social media which is not possible in traditional
media.
Student’s Statement : Traditional media and social media are playing their
own roles in their own places, but traditional media is more believable than social
media.
Journalist Statement : social media is easy to excess and here people can
give their opinion easily, Social media is getting popularity to the people. Moreover,
traditional media is one-way-communication and social media is two-way-
communication.
IT Expert Statement : Generally adult and uneducated people use traditional
media.
On the other hand teenage educated and busy people use social media. Because of
shortage of time.
Analysis:
 After observing these interview researchers have found that young generation
(Journalism student) mostly support social media. Most of them think that social
media surely is challenging Traditional media. On the other hand, most of the
teachers and IT experts have given their opinion on behalf Traditional media.
 Most of the journalist from the number researchers have taken interview think that
social media cannot challenge Traditional media clearly.
Chaptar-4
Policy recommendation: The rise of information and communication technology, the
popularity of the use of social media around the world. 80 percent of the people in the country
are using social media.
Let’s try to know some of these guideline
1. Ensure effective use of social media in governmental institutions.
2. Ensure the security and confidentiality necessary for the use of social media.
3. Determined various governmental organization and employees.
Government Law and Rule
 The official Secrets Act, 1923,
 Government Employees (Behavior) Rules, 1985,
 Information Rights Act 2009,
 Information and Communication Technology Act 2006,
 Copyright Act 2000, etc. will apply.
Exclusionary Issues of Social Media
1. The issues that damage the national unity, political ideology.
2. Remembering the religious feeling of any community.
3. No content that can disturb any person, institution or state and country and gender
discrimination
Needful Issues of Social Media
a) Text, audio, video must be selected seriously.
b) Must have the reliability of the information data provided.
c) Personal and family post cannot be given through institutional communication.
Concluding remark:
This paper examines the challenge from social media to traditional media. It cannot be clearly
said that social media is challenging traditional media but is some points its getting
popularity over traditional media. Here still traditional media has its own points to survive. If
social and traditional media work combined, it would be better for them.
Thank you everyone
