Programming Olympiad
Scratch Olympiad unites participants from all continents.
The International Scratch Creative Programming Olympiad is held to support
students' and teachers' initiatives in learning creative programming using the
visual language Scratch and involving children and youth in innovative
engineering projects.
- is a visual event-driven programming environment designed for children and
adolescents, while at the same time finding millions of adult fans. Scratch is the door to the
world of "big programming" and the Olympiad brings together the most talented future
developers and innovators.
Students from 7 years old and adults from any corner of the
planet can become participants in the Olympiad!

3. An online distanced selection stage took place in
March-July 2020.
A total of 585 people from 13 countries
participated.

HOW IT WAS
The final stage of the Olympiad was held online
on September 19-20, 2020.
209 people from 7 countries took part.
The winners and medalists were participants
from Russia, Belarus and Kosovo.
The Russian national selection stage of the Scratch Olympiad
took place in January-March 2020.
Two thousand people from 65 regions took part.

4. Scratch Olympiad 2021
HOW IT WILL BE
The National stages may include regional
rounds.
The winners of the regional rounds participate in
the final selection of the National stage.
The winners of the National stages will be
invited to participate in the Final stage of the
Olympiad.
The Final stage of the Olympiad will be held in
September 2021.
The National stages of the Scratch Olympiad will take place in
more than 10 countries around the world in March-June 2021.
The National stages are held by the National Operators of the Olympiad.
The National stages are held in the state languages of the host countries.
