Poland
◦ Szpilman was playing piano at the time of
attack

All Jews were resettled in a separate
area (walled ghetto)

live in overcrowded area

On the way to jail he asked a musician to tell
his condition to Szpilman and recall his favor

officer was but he was transferrerd any where

Szpilman died in year 2000 while it is
believed that Hosenfeld died in Soviet
captivity in 1952
