Jesus to someone else.
13. We can bring the Fruit of the
Holy Spirit in the community
for we are actually the

occurs in the supernatural.

cannot build-in in ourselves
but what God builds between
hearts that are redeemed and

30. 29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come
out of your mouths, but only what is
helpful for building others up according
to their needs, that it may benefit those
who listen.

and functioning
of role and responsibility,
communication, and submission.
37. 10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters,
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that all of you agree with one another in
what you say and that there be no
divisions among you, but that you be
perfectly united in mind and thought.
1 CORINTHIANS 1:10
39. True intimacy is both the
mutual expression of love
and the willingness to be
vulnerable. It is acknowledging
our sin and our struggles and
then allowing others to speak
into our lives, whether words of
correction or encouragement.
40. 34 "A new command I give you: Love one
another. As I have loved you, so you
must love one another.
JOHN 13:34
41.
42. 1 It was just before the Passover
Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had
come for him to leave this world and go
to the Father. Having loved his own who
were in the world, he loved them to the
end. 2 The evening meal was in
progress, and the devil had already
prompted Judas, the son of Simon
Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew
that the Father had put all things under
his power, and that he had come from
God and was returning to God;
JOHN 13:1-17
43. 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his
outer clothing, and wrapped a towel
around his waist. 5 After that, he poured
water into a basin and began to wash his
disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel
that was wrapped around him.
6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to
him, “Lord, are you going to wash my
feet?” 7 Jesus replied, “You do not
realize now what I am doing, but later
you will understand.”
JOHN 13:1-17
44. 8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash
my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I
wash you, you have no part with me.”
9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not
just my feet but my hands and my head
as well!” 10 Jesus answered, “Those who
have had a bath need only to wash their
feet; their whole body is clean. And you
are clean, though not every one of you.”
11 For he knew who was going to betray
him, and that was why he said not every
one was clean.
JOHN 13:1-17
45. 12 When he had finished washing their
feet, he put on his clothes and returned
to his place. “Do you under-stand what I
have done for you?” he asked them. 13
“You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and
rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now
that I, your Lord and Teacher, have
washed your feet, you also should wash
one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an
example that you should do as I have
done for you.
JOHN 13:1-17
46. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is
greater than his master, nor is a
messenger greater than the one who
sent him. 17 Now that you know these
things, you will be blessed if you do
them.
JOHN 13:1-17
47.
48. Community is a place not only
where one another practice and
not only where members bear
the fruit of the Holy Spirit of
transformed and transforming,
community is a place where
people are forgiving.
49. 31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to
sift all of you as wheat. 32 But I have
prayed for you, Simon, that your faith
may not fail. And when you have turned
back, strengthen your brothers.” 33 But
he replied, “Lord, I am ready to go with
you to prison and to death.” 34 Jesus
answered, “I tell you, Peter, before the
rooster crows today, you will deny three
times that you know me.”
LUKE 22:31-34
50.
51. Community is a place where
people pray one another back
to God, not just praying for
hedges around people but
praying for returned bridges
to people’s lives.
52. Community is a place where
people that are crashed and
ruin are invited back quickly,
lovingly and forgivingly so they
don’t stay hypocrites away.
53. Jesus models a community in
the most loving, forgiving and
compassionate way even to the
very people that will deny Him,
betray Him and desert Him.
54. Community does not focus on
what you can get within but
rather to what you can bring
and give to every soul that is
within.
55.
56. 1 Therefore if you have any
encouragement from being united with
Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any
common sharing in the Spirit, if any
tenderness and compassion, 2 then
make my joy complete by being like-
minded, having the same love, being
one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do
nothing out of selfish ambition or
vain conceit. Rather, in humility value
others above yourselves,
PHILIPPIANS 2:1- 4
57. 4 not looking to your own interests but
each of you to the interests of the others.
PHILIPPIANS 2:1- 4
