2. E-books and downloadable audiobooks are now available through the Shortgrass system. To access these, you can follow the link from our site ( mhpl.info ) The link to "Library to Go" is just below the Catalogue / Login icon:
3. Just click on the "New to Library To Go" icon and choose the Quick Start Guide. If you encounter problems, call us for help at 502-8525. You don't need an e-book reader or audio player -- e-books and audiobooks can be read or heard on your computer. You will have to do a bit of configuring and registering to do, but there are good instructions on the Library To Go site.
4. If you click on the "Advanced Search" link (to the right of the Quick Search box) you'll be able to quickly see new items added during the last week or two. Once you've had a chance to download some of our e-books and audiobooks, you'll want to keep returning to Library to Go to see what new items have been added.
5. We're also offering two sessions on e-books and e-audiobooks, the first on Wednesday October 20 from 1 -3 p.m. , and the second on Saturday October 23 from 10 - 12. These are hands-on sessions, and space is limited. To register call 403-502-8525. (you'll need to have a current library card and P.I.N. number to participate. You'll learn how to troubleshoot common problems, how to transfer e-books and audiobooks to you own mobile device, etc.
