1. MATERIALS:
* Poles: light wood or threaded rod for a diamond shaped kite need 1 stick of
about 60 cm in length and over 48 cm.
(It could also be 40 cm wide by 90 cm high)
* Paper: the lighter the better, but from daily rice paper anything goes
* Threads: the thickness depends on the size of the kite, but preferred to be fine
(two or three strands)
* For the seat: 3 meters
* For the shots: 3 meters
* To fly: 50 to 1000 meters (depending on your ambitions)
STEPS:
1 - cut two rods
2 - serrated grooved ends for passing the thread (see photo)
3 - line marking the intersection of the rods
4 - if using round rod, with a file to make a flattening in the two rods to tie them
to have more contact surface (see photo)
5 - tie rods where they cross
6 - tying the peripheral frame formed by the threads of rod ranging rod passing
the thread through the slots each end of the rod (see photo)
7 - when the paper is smaller than the barrel can paste multiple sheets together
8 - Once dry the paper cut to fit the barrel 3 inches more glue to wrapping the
thread.
