Job Summary:






The Senior Electrical Engineering will provide leadership and daily direction to the
Electrical Engineering team. The candidate should be a self motivator and have good
communication and leadership skills. This should be coupled with excellent knowledge
of engineering principles, design, and production.
Provides or coordinates electrical engineering services for engineering projects to
ensure that electrical portion of projects are on schedule, under budget, safe, reliable
and energy efficient.
Provides electrical engineering, testing, inspection and troubleshooting services to
Maintenance Department to ensure maximum reliability and safety.
Responsible for electrical engineering activities at the Refinery including Project FEL
packages, SME project design support, SME direction for contract engineering, and
detailed design for small projects (i.e., single motor installation, power panels, etc).
Responsible for Project manager/Engineer duties on capital projects that are primarily
electrical in nature, including FEL packages, AFE preparation, equipment and material
purchasing, budget attainment, status reporting, project implementation,
commissioning and completion.
Prepares switching procedures for power distribution system for repair and
preventative maintenance activities.

2. B7 CONSULTANCY- SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Profile:
Education, Experience and Preference
 Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering for the Mechanical
Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) and Water & Power Industry

Experience in electrical distribution, project execution (large and small) for engineering
and field construction, protective relay coordination, application and testing, hazardous
area classifications.

Must be capable of communicating effectively with engineering contractors,
construction contractors, operations and maintenance personnel, and equipment and
material suppliers.
Duties:
 Develop scopes of work.
 Monitor and advise Department Manager and Project Manager of changes.
 Prepare detail design milestones, staffing schedules and man-hour estimates.
 Establish design concepts and design data for work assigned to group and assures
technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements.
 Prepare Engineering Change Request as required.
 Research suitable solutions and estimating cost and timescales.
 Train less experienced engineers and designers. Generate electrical equipment and
construction specifications.
 Prepare technical portions of bid packages for electrical equipment and electrical
construction work, evaluates bids and supports contract awards
 Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs and vendor bid evaluations.
 Participate in construction support activities including responses to requests for
information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits and design revisions/
change management.
 Develop hazardous area classifications.
 Provide input on employee’s performance as appraisal to Department Managers.
 Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques,
procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
 Apply standard engineering tasks and exhibits a working knowledge of applicable codes.
 Develop plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and coordinate detailed phases of
engineering work
 Review and generate design data from P&ID’s.
 Perform the more sophisticated and complicated designs and calculations in accordance
with established company standards.
