I am contacting you in reference to an open positon posted. I would like to express my interest in
the position. I believe my education experience and skill set is a match for this job opportunity.
I am a recent graduate from University of Maryland Eastern Shore. I graduated with a Bachelor
of Science in Rehabilitation Services. I’ve taken many courses that would be beneficial to this
position. I have taken courses such as case recording and management, where I learned the
principles and practices of obtaining, recording, evaluating and utilizing case data in
rehabilitation as well as learning how to manage the case load of individuals, especially with a
disability. I have also taken vocational development counseling where I learned theories of
vocational assessment and vocational choice in addition to job placement and development
techniques. Lastly counseling skills and techniques where I not only learned, but actively
participated in scenarios demonstrating the basic skills and techniques of counseling. I was also
enrolled in many of other courses related to these topics that will definitely help me to excel at
this position. On top of those courses I have taken a computer skill and techniques course where
I learned how to use and format documents within Microsoft office, using Word, PowerPoint,
Access and Excel.
I believe if given the opportunity to interview with your company, I will be able to share my
