1. Tom Barnes
Tom Barnes is a British contemporary photographer who has taken many
photos of famous bands and artists in the music industry such as this image of
‘Artic Monkeys.’
In this photograph the background is made to look quite dark and grim and is
set in which looks a rundown council estate however the photographer has
used high key lighting the bands faces, I think this is to give of an impression
that the members of this band have all come from backgrounds like this one
but have made their way out of it and created a brighter life for themselves.
This is a digital photograph that has been edited, I can think it is quite easy to
tell this because of how detailed the photograph and the way the high key
lighting on their faces is very thought through. The way the band has been
arranged is mirroring the buildings.
